I am sick of buying ps3 games that claim to be new and when i get them they are not sealed and have had several that have scratches on them.

Who definately sell sealed games?

I know these do...

Argos
Play.com
Amazon
Asda

Have bought from hmv, currys and game all not being sealed.

Any others that do?

Argos - I've never had one from argos that isn't sealed, nor play.
Never ordered from Amazon (gamewise)
Asda (few games I've bought were sealed)

HMV (instore) have always sold to me unsealed.
Game - The odd occasion.

Tesco sometimes do them sealed, The reason they take them out off the cases is due to theft. The damage occurs when they are poorly handled.

You can ask for a sealed copy from Game or Gamestation.

I wouldnt be suprised if the likes of Game and Gamestation pass on new games that are actually second hand!

If that was with me -
I was writing my experiences too, not thinking you meant they sold to you unsealed

Sealed or unsealed?

Sealed or unsealed?

Sealed everytime. Place 20+ orders with them in the past 2 years.

Online most should be sealed-in fact there is no reason why not.

Instore asda are shocking for the state of their products, and there is just no need for it-I worked on the video desk for 7 years in asda and kept telling them it was stupid to take 100 copies of the same game out of the sealed box,put them in cardboard sleeves etc risking scratches when they could just use ten or so,let the customer bring up the display box but actually sell them a sealed copy and then put the display box back on the shelf.

Alas like so many things in asda its "company policy" and wont be changed.

Tesco are getting better-most are sold sealed but displayed inside those hard security boxes which get opened at the till. I refuse to pay someone 40 quid for an unsealed game and if everyone did that then shops might change their attitude.

Same with blurays-Ive been buying a few lately and insist on sealed,if its the last copy in the shop and they take it out of a cardboard sleeve I wont buy it.

Zavvi = sealed.

Some get resealed too! I always look out for the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 logos on the seals!

i hate it when the games i buy are not sealed , you might as well just buy it 2nd hand

+1

Game, Shopto, Amazon, Gamestation have always sold me sealed.

My local Asda always selled unsealed so I ask for a sealed one.

I have seen Game sell unsealed. I once returned a sealed, unused game to Game and they unsealed it to check the disc was inside so I guess thats why they might sell unsealed sometimes.

Really?

I've bought Bioshock (Steelbook), MW2, Borderlands and Bayonetta from Zavvi recently and all have been sealed.

Granted Borderlands' box was slightly broken but it was still sealed lol...

I bought a game from HMV that was unsealed and the disc inside was in a sainsburys disc wallet !

Had unsealed from all over the show, I always ask them for a sealed one in Gamestation because they sell you some real tat sometimes

Some interesting replies.

Seems that a lot of the time it is hit and miss whether it is sealed or not. I don't know if i am right here but it maybe the older the game is the more likely iti s going to be unsealed.

I here what is being said about buying instore and that is great. I am looking to buy from some online shops but don't want the hastle of returning it if it is unsealed ( or scratched). There seems to be a bit of money can be saved by buying online and i currently only buy from Amazon, play & Asda.
