Sell your unwanted Xmas pressies on ebay

This is just an idea I'm playing with but I'd like some thoughts on the idea.
As most of you know I make a living from ebay and I know ebay pretty well. I've had a few PM's and emails asking for help or asking me to sell items for them.
What I'm thinking of is if anybody has things they want me to sell they would send the item to me and I would sell it on their behalf. I would take the two ebay fees and the Paypal fee from the total and BACS the remainder to them. The only 'charge' I would ask for, is that they make a donation (of any size) to the CF Trust.
Any ideas?
Just an idea at the moment.

Do you think it's a good idea or am I just 'looking' for grief/trouble?

I think its a great idea steve

I think a bit of both might happen Steve, something is bound to happen that someone doesnt agree with.
Maybe its just abit more hassle than what its worth, good idea tho if it was to work 100%

Maybe... the fact that the item has to be posted by the seller, then by you, could cut quite deeply into the profit slice...

Good point.
You can post up to 30kg for around £10.00 so that could help if they had a fair bit to 'get rid off'.

the person can post it himself to the buyer after dino sells it...

Seems a great idea, May have a few bits myself to sell, I'll let you know some time tomorrow is that's ok with you :santa:

If I'm selling it, I'll need/want to have the item first so I can check it's okay and take pictures etc.

I'm just 'brainstorming' the idea.
I'll let you know if I'm going to go ahead with it.

Sounds a great idea dino but you'd have to have some sort of contract with the seller so that you aren't left holding the baby in the event that something goes wrong....no doubt you are well aware of everything that could possibly go wrong and the seller has to accept that you cannot be held responsible and take any financial loss.

I did ask before..but why are you down to 3 squares of rep..did you donate your haul to charity??

good idea if the final amount is worth it after the extra postage ect,im sure there is a service similar to this that you can participate in on ebay? i have 3 things you could sell...i'll post them on...oh wait...is it still against ebay rules to sell livestock? lololol

I don't think people/posters think this is a good idea because only a few have posted on it, so I may just leave it.
If I had more interest then I'd come up with a 'game plan' but..........
I 'donated' my feedback to the admin fund :giggle: Long story.

Saxo tried to sell a Mobile and an XBox but he had loads of problems, I could have taken the hassle away from him.
I thought if people had a box and filled it with 'stuff' up to 30 kg, but not junk then I could help.

You can buy some 'livestock' on ebay. Crickets etc :giggle: :giggle:

yes its a good idea, if you enjoy ebay, i used to sell alot and enjoyed it,only bit i didnt enjoy were the constant trips to the post office, my local postmaster is not very polite and put me off lol

I get on really well with my Post Office. I take one R/M sack in a day and they sort it very quickly. I can also drop the sack off if I'm in a hurry or they are busy and pay the next day.
I did give them a big tip this year.

I'd sell my crap on Ebay, but I don't know if any sane person would want a "travel snack kit"
