    Selling a gas cooker.

I have sold a gas cooker, it was definately working up until the time it was disconnected. Of course I was unable to show the cooker worker as it had been disconnected. The guy put it in the back of his car and drove it 20 miles to Lewes.

He has telephoned today to say that it appears that the gas isnt getting through to the unit. His brother is a gas engineer and will offer some advice.

Does he have to take some responsibility for possible damage in transit. I have provisonally agreed to a refund if he brings it back.

You would have to ask if they have waited for the air to clear the system, it does take a while for it to be clear enough to light.

I've got a gas cooker,it's fully working as I'm currently using it at moment.
I'll be needing rid of it,was going sell it but this is kind of hassle you get off people,I think it be easier to stick out and let the scrap man take it.
If I give it away,I doubt the people would be flexible about collecting it when I wanted them to aswell, they want it soon as advertised, then it's more convient just to chuck out for scrap when I'm done with it.

That's for you to decide. you don't have to give him a penny refund if it was a private sale. Unless you gave him some kind of guarantee.

    Conclusion.
A gas engineer suggested to the purchaser that he had the incorrect hosing adaptor. Cooker is working fine apparantly.
