hey, I’m living in a world where I sold a ps5 on ebay in December, the buyer told ebay that I sent an empty box, they refunded him. After a lost of distress DHL stepped in with a drivers statement saying it wasn’t en empty box, and also a photo. Ebay didn’t want to know, I had to speak to 8 people to finally get my money.
before this happened I wouldn’t have believed it myself, I always felt ebay would be more helpful

Yeah ive sold stuff on ebay before and they said its not arrived and theres a scratch on the item ebay always goes against the seller too! Probs stick it on Facebook or cex
If you’re looking to sell it easily CeX are still offering £625. You can try posting it on Fb marketplace but I doubt many people will give you that. For ease of everything go with CeX.
CEX is the safest way to sell it but you won’t get the most for it. They’re only offering £550 now, still a profit over RRP though.
It's risky with such a high profile item. I'd want collection only and cash in hand. Try Facebook Marketplace first, if you have it.
Or Gumtree/Shpock but 100% do cash on collection only.
If you do sell on eBay, don’t send it, the buyer can just say empty box and ebay will side with them.

Don’t give out your address / details till you confirm when they will collect. You could also do eBay cash on collection. But ebay fees will be high. Again check there profile.
As above I sell lots of things cash on collection, I ask the purchaser once I agree their offer, if they want any other pictures, which I WhatsApp across, I say to the buyer I will demo the product and if they are not content can walk away no questions with Covid situation I've asked buyers to wait outside whilst I show the product through the window, I do look at there feedback also and where they are coming from(if available)

Know so many others been through same even with video and photographic evidence of ha ding to post office being weighed etc eBay refused and gone to legal route
Just so cash on Facebook a lot easier or sell to cex / music magpie
You will probably fall victim to scammers. Why do you want to sell already? (edited)

8 items isn’t many I sold over 500 items (in 19 years) without having a problem, and ebay was mainly not helpful because the item was over £200. They mentioned a few times that they would have refunded me straight away if it the item was under the £200 threshold.
Also, I doubt anyone would send a ps5 without it being tracked and insured.

Yes. Funnily, they’re offering less than RRP for the Digital version even though it’s even more scarce than its bigger bro!

That’s hilarious but I’m not very surprised. I think the Disc version is more desirable amongst people

Well yeh. I have sold hundreds of items on eBay in a couple of weeks all based around technology. All I’m saying is make sure you have proof of postage and make sure it’s covered
Record the packaging of the item, zoom in on the pre printed courier label you attach, pay extra for full tracking on every leg of the parcels journey, pay extra for Adult signature only on delivery and also only deliver to recipient address only, all these options are available with UPS and this is how I sent my ps5 when it sold on fleabay

who’s to say after you stop recording, you don’t open the box and swap the console for bricks, or something of the same weight as the console?
or are you suggesting the you carry on recording until you have had the item collected by ups, or you drop it off?
