Sending Amazon to Australia

We need to send some books to my sister for her birthday next Wednesday, although it doesnt matter if they are a bit late.

My stepdad asked me to find out if it would be cheaper to use the UK or Australian Amazon. I would guess the prices would be tha same but the postage costs would be different.

Anyone know which would be cheaper?

Cheers
James

I would imagine that buying from same country would be far cheaper.. i.e Australian amazon to post to Australia. Only problem you might have is if they require the credit card holder to have an Australian address, - don't think this is the case tho..
Postage from the UK site would probably out-weigh any difference in product costs tbh

I don't actually think there is an Amazon for Australia yet.. but I've found this bookshop - bookworm.com.au/

Another good site to use is abebooks.com
It's a collection of sellers who sell both second hand and new books, and you can search then specify sellers from Australia... (bit like Amazon marketplace I guess)
I've used the site a few times and it's very good.
