Hello everyone, hope all is safe and well with the HUKD community. I wanted to send some hand sanitiser to my family members across the UK from North East to Midlands. Does anyone know if Royal Mail are okay with people sending Alcohol based hand sanitiser via their services. Thank you in advance!

Most people are staying at home now, just use soap instead.

I bet youre the type of person who would tell the government you should be paying more tax on your assessment (edited)

If product is defined as "liquid not classified as dangerous goods" you should be OK with certain packaging / external ID obligations, otherwise maybe look at "perfumes" or other interpretation at

Thank you, I just gave them a call and unfortunately they said its not allowed because of the high alcohol content and its flammable. Would you know of any other courier services that may allow it? I checked a few but it seems they prohibited these too.

Flammable, so I doubt they'd be happy if they found out.

UPS carry alcohol-heavy perfumes, but if hand sanitizer is classed as HazMat you'll need some commercial definitions to throw into the tool at ups.com/shi…_GB

If you’ve got spare just give it to local places in need and let it be.

Don't tell them what's in it. Just send it.

Meet them half way as it may cost you £10 anyway
