    Setanta is it any good?

I am thinking of getting Setanta due to the Premiership coverage, however I only have a few hours to decide as they are doing an offer until midnight tonight which is £6.50 for 3 months then £12.99 a month thereafter.

Is it worth it or not do people think? I currently have the full Sky package including sports.

    Great site!

Funnily enough they had an offer recently which ended on 8th August which I added it to this site.

That was also £6.50 a month for three months.

Seems as soon as my offer finished they started another so I dont think you need to rush to sign up.

I DID sign up and no problems so far (not as good as Sky football coverage though)

I notice the England friendly is on Setanta tomorrow night.

Also Fulham v Arsenal this Saturday.

The offer is updated every day... Ends at midnight...

    I'd agree with that..STAY AWAY!!

You get the boxing & UFC as well but I think it's a bit expensive, gone up from £9.99 last year.

You get Liverpool, Rangers & Arsenal TV with it I think.

COuld you not just cancel it after 3 months....

    Lol

    It's not bad, one day though it may even be as great as this;

BTW I would be wiling to lend you my Setanta Broadband login details so you can have a look for half an hour or so, you can watch all the channels on there

Well i am with VM so i get it for free. It is not as good as Sky Sports but IMO it is worth having. Although they don't get the best games on paper, if you have Setanta on the weekend there is some always football to watch.

IMO if you can afford it you should get it.

    Just found this on MSE

Many MoneySavers have reported problems trying to cancel their Setanta Sports subscriptions, so we've contacted Setanta's press office and asked what the procedure is.

It's one of the worse cancellation systems I've seen

Frankly once I read it, I wasn't surprised there've been problems, this is perhaps the worst cancellation system I've seen from a major company.

Outrageously, while you can call up and sign up over the phone, you can ONLY cancel in writing (paper, not e-mail) giving 60 days notice from your next billing date. The 60 days only begins from when the letter's received. This is something that anyone considering signing up and trying Setanta should bear in mind.

    How to cancel

So if you want to cancel, jot out a quick letter as soon as possible including your name, address, phone number and Setanta account number (if you have one) to be sure. It's also worth noting down when you wrote and sent the letter in case of further problems.

Send the letter to the following address

    Setanta Sports
    PO BOX 182
    The Quays
    Newry
    Co. Down
    BT35 5AT

    It gets worse...

If you've been having problems and have called up to cancel, Setanta admits you may've been told the wrong address to write to. It has assured us this is now the central point for all cancellation notices.

I havent needed a card in the 3 years I've had it set-up - the footy channels are all open with the patch for the box......

    Banned

Is it hard to set up ChrisUK ? I am a sparky and wouldnt mind giving this ago myself

    I got a motorised set-up

Took a while to read up on everything, but it's a piece of p!ss now mate. You just need to work out the elevation etc of the dish to pick up all the sats.

The actual installation is simple & patching is even easier

If you want any links to where to buy the whole kit for £230, pm me
