Evening All,

I'm looking to create a website, its basically a family website so would like to be password protected...

now my question is this..is there any sites that will host my website for free and have a website builder function.

I've used 1and1 before but they are a bit of a rip off so would like to avoid them.

My website building skills are quite weak so would like something easy to use, but allows me to do more complex things as i develop my skills.

hope this makes sense..

A domain name and a hosted web page are not the same thing.

You can buy a .com domain name for a few pounds a year then you can arrange for it to point to any hosted web page, including most free ones. The name you have purchased will appear in the address bar instead of the address provided by the hosting site.

You can build up a site and get the domain name later as you will have to pay for that.
