Setting Up Email in Outlook...... HELP needed

Hi Guys.

I cant, for the life of me, set up my email account in Outlook.

the email address im using is from 123-reg, but the outgoing sever is different, in that its my ISP, if im correct, which is sky.

anyone who to set this up correctly!

pop3 server for incoming mail and outgoing will be something like smtp.btinternet.com or whatevr your isp settings are. you will also have to select authentication and put in your isp username and password.

Have a look at :
sky.com/por…903
From there select which email client you're using and that'll list settings to use etc.

Fot the pop server, that appears to be pophost.123-reg.co.uk. The smtp server will be smtp.tools.sky.com. This, along with your username and password supplied via 123.reg should be all you require. Hoping this helps you out. If you run in to difficulties, reply back with the version of Outlook you're using and it should help me advise more accurately.

2003 ;-) im actually trying to set up my email for the new site www.tjdoyles.com I just built. :whistling: I tried what you suggested, just it still aint working.

I can get to recieve iirc, but not send!

sky never use to allow you to use their smtp for another account, i don't know if thats changed now though

their site says you can. I already have my initial email set up using my 1and1 host, but that was easy. its when I try to use a different incoming and outcoming server

try 'mail.tjdoyles.com' for the incoming POP3 server, although that relies on 123-reg having set up the DNS for 'mail.' which they don't always do!

Username gerryfitz-16
Password xxxxxxxxx
POP3 Email Account [email protected]

is what i was given.

don't know mate i know they used to restrict the outgoing mail. which is why skyuser setup their own smtp for sky users. frm what i recall they used to allow you to collect mail from other domains but not send it using their smtp server.
