Shavers

I'm thinking of getting a new one soon as mine is an old thing that doesnt seen to give a very good shave.

I would prefer to use foam & a razor but can't due to it taking the tops off some spots whilst doing it.

I've always shaved either in the morning or before a shower in the evening because the electric one I have doesnt work well if my face is at all wet.

I've heard about wet shaving so is this any better?

I would prefer a rechargeable one as mine is on a cable & as I done have sockets in my bathroom I have to use it out on my landing.

Any reccomendations would be appreciated. Looking to spend up to about £50.00

Its my birthday soon though so may spend a bit more if you get what you pay for, no idea what newer ones are like though.

    Cheers

Used to have the same kind of prob, go for a Philips Shaver that you can use in the shower, something like this -

    amazon.co.uk/Phi…KQ/

You dont have to load it with the Nivea stuff, just use it in the shower with your normal shaving gel!

Stops the whole spots thing and you face doesn't sore after.

Used to use a razor for years, but gave me bad spots, so tried the philips thing and seemed to work!

Oh, and if spots are a prob, look at www.acne.org found the website a couple of years ago, its american so you have to find a like for like product in the uk, but it helped mea lot!

    Hope that helps anyway.

That is the one I have got..you can use it with foam, soap or without anything lathered on your face. Only gripe with it..i takes 8 hours to fully charge with around 30 minutes use, there is another model practically identical to the above but only take 1 hour to charge.

Excellent shave , obviously not as good as a razor but probably the best shaver I have owed for a close cut.

you should always shave after a shower and then wash your face again. The shower softens your skin and stops razor burn. You will probably find acne to be less of a problem too.

Cheers mate, whats the thing about it moisturising or something?

I dont mind about the charge time really, can just stick on whilst I'm in bed.

    Any other reccomendations?

Just found the HS8040, takes 4 hours to charge & has 40 minutes use, for £50 so only £8 more so may get that one

It has an in built moisturising chamber at the back..you get one cannister of Nivea with your shaver, the moisturiser comes out of the 2 back shaving heads and can be applied to the skin whilst under the shower..definitely helps with razor burns etc.
