Disco biscuits?! They sell them at Aldi!?!?

I dont get it OP you got what you needed didnt you

Aldi is good for fruit and veg and also very cheap for milk and bread, not sure I could do the FULL shop there though

I go most weeks but couldnt do a big shop there. fruit, veg, continental meats and cheese are good and lots of there products have won awards from which, I love the gin from there.

There is some rubbish in there to be honest but if you have time to do two shops theres money to be saved on good quality produce.

    Disco biscuits are gorgeous!

    Aren't they £5 a pop though?

As mentioned previously milk bread fruit and veg are well priced, so is cereal- most is £1 a box or thereabouts and i find most nicer than other store brands. Cannot do full shop at aldi cause of needing baby milk at the mo, but can def save a few pennies on a good few bits in there.

er meat, rice, pasta, veg, fruit, bread, milk, pizza, cheese, ham, coke, biscuits, teabags, tissues, crisps, bleach, coleslaw, bacon strips.

    none of that there....

They had an offer on guide dogs tho, so that was good.

    Only poor peps OP.

They have fresh fruit and decent fireworks, the food is mostly cheap crap full of salt.

Aldi and Lidl are very good for anything that doesn't require a 'brand', so milk, cheese ect. They also have very good specials on ethnic foods sourced from the country of origin.

I don't understand this snobbishness some people have, the Lidl near me has fresh baked bread and the people shopping there look much better than the some of the shabby types wandering round the co-op opposite.

possibly to do with the 'European' look they have..........

But agreed I'm not loyal to anyone one shop, I source my food shopping from where appropriate

Haha, i nipped in there this morning for some friut and veg and also got some disco biscuits , kids love them !!.....i got a bargain from there just before xmas , a drill set should of been £39.99 ( no not 99p ) ..anyways it was the last one and the handle was damaged on the case so i asked the store manager if they had anymore and they didnt but said he would knock 30% off if i wanted , so got it for £28 , i was well chuffed

    Mod & Ed

Lidl has very good potato salad and raspberry / cherry jaffa cakes, I used to send my son in to get them for me, now he's 19 and has what he calls " an image to maintain " he refuses to go in, will be a few years before my baby girls are old enough to go and buy some

Lidl and Aldi always top those Which tests to find the best of whatever product.

Shops why the bracketted 99p its not like we would pull you up on it, this has nothing to do with bikes now does it?

Just been to my local Aldi, got everything that I needed, nice clean shop, good products, fast service at checkout, unlike the filthy Tesco just up the road.

    All Tesco shops look filthy.

I think that it's part of their image. A sort of Pavlovian dog thing which fools people into thinking they're getting something cheaper because it's sold in cheap surroundings?

Mine is disgusting, it should be closed down, I would never buy food from such a filthy rat hole.

The staff are also rude and ignorant.
