been looking at the htc desire s on o2. £24 pound a month and i get 300 mins, unlimited texts and 100mb of internet usage (which tbh i dont know if this is enough?) on 24 months contract.

at present i pay £15 a month on payg and get unlimited texts and unlimited internet. i wouldnt mind a new phone so would be forking out for that.

am i better off staying payg or going contract?

100mb isn't much

100mb will not last a month on a smartphone, unless literally all you do is check emails... 500mb would be better

100Mb isn't a lot and do you really want to be stuck on that tariff for 2 years? It might cost more but buy a PAYG/Simfree phone and then get a 1 month sim-only contract.

Or just wait until May (or June?) when they bring back 12 month contracts. 500MB minimum is what you want though - i've used 100MB in a week on rare occasions but usually only around 20-30.. that would mean I'd nearly be OK with 100MB but the cost per MB after you use up 100 is crazy. Used to be £4/MB on tesco!!

im now looking at keeping my payg tariff and just buying a new handset. ive seen the desire s for £330 or the desire (not s) for £250. is it worth paying the extra for the s?
