    Should I take the plunge?

    HI all.

just got an offer from a local electrical store. The deal is :
Panasonic TXP42S20B TV (5yr Panasonic warranty) plus DMP-BD85 blu ray player, all for £750. He also throws in free delivery, disposal of my old tv (£50 trade in) and a free £30 HDMI cable.

The TXP42X20B is also selling for £499. (cheapest I have seen both online or in store)

    Should I or souldn't I?

    thanks

I wanted to but the deal seems very attractive as they are already. If I have the choice, I would prefer to knock some more money off than getting any free blu ray films.

if it didnt take much to get that deal then push it, if you really strggled and had to push hard then i dont think you going to do any better, and as said above its easier to get a freebie than money knocked off

Ask him to switch the "£30" hdmi cable for a couple of blu rays

Ive got the S10, S20 must be good

folks, just found out Panasonic now give 3 blu rays films(Avatar, Minority report and Mr. Fox) for selected blu rays players and that DMP-BD85 is one of them.

Its a redemption offer isnt it, thats a plus point.

Still ask for 2 in store though.

    free disposal via freecycle

    thanks guy.

I finally decided to plunge for the TXP42X20 for £499 (in store price only). I think it's the cheapest I can find. Abt the BR player, I must hav misheard him as the £90 quoted was for the BD45, not the more expensive BD85.

p/s should I put the TXP42X20 tv as HUKD deal? i mean, the price is not shown on its website but I spoke to the sale person and he (pleasant guy) quoted me £499 with free delivery and that was the price I paid.
