should i try and find a exact replacement external hard drive case or not?
arrrggh dammit, the usb connection came loose on my freeagent drive. rather than take it back to maplins and either have them swap it (as i'm gobbeldy goop at soldering) or get it sent off and risked losing my 150gbs of music i've collected over the last two years, i decided to try open the thing, to get the hard drive off, this in the booklet, voids the warranty, (which is visible, as there is now marks on the case) luckily. i managed to save my hard drive, by plugging inside my case (turns out to be a normal sata drive.), now i have the drive inside my pc, which is probably better as i'm cutting down on the electricity, but i dunno if it's worth tryna track down a replacement case (probably impossible) with no marks so the warranty appears to be unvoided, or just go with the flow.
