Sure am pal, that is what you get from going from a rented apartment in Coventry at £595pcm, to purchasing your own property in SE London!
We are doing a bit sort out over Easter to get everything sorted, no second bedroom either.
But it is worth it as we have the DLR, overground train, Clipper (river bus), and lots of main bus routes within 5minutes walking distance. And the flooring and kitchen etc is of a high quality, so are the fittings and fixtures.
    Got a huge balcony though of 6m x 1.6m

tis a beautiful combo. Also got an i7 laptop with hdmi out so any HD downloads I can play through it without relying on streaming it to the ps3 now.

living room 42" samsung tv & wii, bedroom 32" tv & xbox 360 elite.. no fancy surround sound i'm afraid.. its a bit of a mess around the tv though so no picture lol

old photo, tv is now a 50" and a sony receiver instead of the denon

    - Samsung 50" 1080p Plasma
    - Yamaha RX-V565
    - Sky HD
    - Xbox 360 Elite
    - Acer Revo with XBMC Live
    - Samsung Bluray Player
    - 5x Q Acoustic 1010i (Have another 1010i plus 1000ci centre, but atm cant really fit the centre on my rack.. So waiting till wallmounting to add that to the setup and go 7.1)
    - 1x Q Acoustic 1000si

May be wallmounting it in a couple of weeks, run cabling through walls instead.

Yeah I want to replace my AV Receiver, but need to move in first, then purchase important items; fridge freezer, washing machine, dining table, sofas, wardrobes, chest of drawers, etc...you get the picture!

Spritey yours is alright as well, I'm not a big fan of glass units, and those Q's look a bit small on those stands, as well as the colour of them. But I can't say much I've got light wood floorstanders and a black centre.

Yeah they are just some cheap gale ones i picked up for £15 on ebay, didn't wanna spend out as i'm planning on wallmounting the speakers once the TV is wallmounted.

It's difficult atm, as i've got all the kit for my 7.1 AV Reciever. I just need to get round to wallmounting so i can get it all hooked up.

I can't reccomend the Yamaha RX-V565 enough - it's around £250-260 inc delivery at the moment.. DTS HD etc.. 4 HDMI inputs with up conversion and upscaling. Really has been fantastic.

Thats fair enough then, my next receiver will probably be 6.1/7.1 but ill probably keep it to 5.1 anyway, at least for now.

Personally don't care for upscaling, TV does a good job.
Although I do want hdmi and ideally hd audio.

Yeah i got 3 pairs of Q Acoustic 1010i as they were cheap in richersounds, £40 a pop when they are £80 online.. It's just frustrating having stuff sat in boxes to do 7.1, but i just don't have the room till i wallmount.. And i'm waiting for my mate is my resident handy man to do it, as i'm a bit of a DIY disaster area.

Gotta agree on upscaling, but it's always handy to have.. Personally bought the 565 because so many people reccomended it, plus the price was spot on for what i wanted. HDMI audio and video up conversion is essential though, so nice having just one HDMI cable going to my TV.

Wife blew her lid a bit when she found out how much i've sent in total though.

Around £600 for the lot including speakers.. But then i did try to explain to her that it wasn't allot in terms of audio setups, and i got a real stocking deal picking up the speakers so cheaply.

    i went for 7.1 so i could bi-amp my fronts :-D

And yeah, the denon had an audio fault where it would just now and again output a white noise static when audio was via hdmi.

Yeah see mine has all been bought over time, so easier on the pocket. The fiancee doesnt mind as long as she likes the look of it and I show her how to use it so she can blast it as well!

Yeah my Technics is starting to have a few problems, sometimes when in stereo mode the fronts will just drop out. Tried switching the channels from A to B with no avail.

Fair enough then, the AV Recievers I've had have a minimum of a 1m placement (if memory serves).

    You need a better amp!!

That Denon goes down to .5m (I tend to sit in the middle of the sofa)

My friend has the A1-HD which goes lower still.

Well my technics is very dated, but it still works (although a few problems recently) and the sound is damn good.
But I've always had my set up in large rooms, when I move I will be more space efficient but also want to replace the av receiver anyway.

    My bedroom setup, nothing special
