No need for that, just come back via ireland or France as every travel expert on TV is telling you to do to circumvent it. You've really got to wonder about English law when you're publically allowed to do this. Daft country

This is only after you have had your choice of multiple public transport options to get home. You must also fill in details on a landing card and hand it in on arrival. I happen to be called Michael Mouse and live at 15 Disneyland Street. Too little, too late
Oh, and the Italian govt has offered to pay your fine if you get caught breaking self isolation on your return to the UK.

Sadly, it is the very late lockdowns in Europe that seem to have caused the most damage in this crisis. Plus idiotic loopholes like the Ireland or France one.
