Sick to death of pro family policies

Okay my last attempt at jollies got very little so here's another try....

Put simply I am one half of a double income, no kids, couple. We pay lots of tax and spend lots of money. We are what keeps this economy going. So I am utterly sick of hearing the politicians bleat on and on and on about how they want to support hard working families "and their children" by tax breaks, child benefit, free holidays to Disneyland and god knows what all paid for by poor working fools like me. Cheaper holidays for families? Do me a favour they wear out the facilities quicker and the patience of anyone else who doesn't need a hearing aid! Have you been to a hotel buffet with children? I feel queasy just watching the little darlings prod their snot covered fingers into every item, suck their thumbs then finger the cutlery, hold the bread down with bare hands while cutting it (although to be fair lots of adults do that too). Clearly family rates at buffets should be at least double to pay for the food poising treatments of those not immersed in brat bacteria every day.

Ah I feel better already and now to bask in the glow of support from those who only wish they'd said it first...

polite and hygienic people use a napkin

hahahaha bitter and twisted?

I am also one half of a professional couple that pays tons in tax and spends too much money too, but i do not travel to hotels that have all this family mentality going on in and around its pools and restaurants, i do however have a son also whom i take on holiday too, but the holidays he comes on are very much different.

Ever heard the saying..............horses for courses?.......................either your on the wrong horse or course mate

Azureus you have been reading the daily mail too much. Your misguided views and your bile-filled rant only go to show how inconsiderate and up tight you are. I have a 15 month old child and we get no support from the government at all bar literallt a few quid a month in child benefit (available to all parents).

Despite what you might think, not all of us are tracksuit wearing chavs that let our children run wild, we will bring her up to show respect for others and her surroundings.

Having a child is the most amazing thing one can ever do, perhaps when you have a more tolerant and mature attitude you will understand, until then, stay away from the daily mail and try to relax a little before you develop an ulcer.

i empathise with you on some points - you as a single working person getting no breaks

single people can get 75% council tax so theres a saving of at least £250 wich will get you a week in the sun somewhere -

as for the kiddie rant -most parents like myself have taught their kiddies manners

free vasectomies this way

You were a kid who did all that once you know

what a moron

Oh man! The replies to this thread are going to be comedy gold! I do agree with the OP, but I think his/her views are probably aimed more at the chavvy families who do sod all and gain the most from the government.

This is going to be hilarious!

I look forward to the following replies:

"What iz u? LOL! Sum sort of peedo! GET OUT11! Reported! LOLZ WTF!"

"I got 9 kidz and we av to get monee from bennyfits because my partner drinks his wages in one night. LOLZ! Does any1 know how to make a black eye hurt less? REP for gud answers! LOL!"

"Y dont you get stuffed! posh yuppy..LOL! Reported for spams"

So who's going to support the economy when you're 65? You may think you keep the economy going now, but its our offspring who will keep it (and us) going in the future...

I've always believed you just effectively pay taxes retrespectively. The OP is just paying back for the taxes he received as a child. The good news for him, his "non child" wont have to payback when it would have been "their" turn.

And of course the rest of the taxes (ie the non child support portion) is to pay for the things you will probably enjoy in old age when your not paying tax and things being received now like NHS etc.

Children should be banned from buffets worldwide.

Perhaps someone could invent something that gives anyone under 3feet tall an electric shock if they approach a buffet counter.

Midgets will just have to go without buffets.

And another thing....

....how about in the future we have a game show where the 1000 scummiest families in the UK have to compete in an obstacle course and the winning family gets there benefits doubled and the losing 999 families get blown up?

I'd watch....would you?

FWIW I read the Guardian, the times, the independant and ocasional IHT.

Check here:

hmrc.gov.uk/chi…htm

if you are getting "a few quid a month" rather than the £80 listed here and you need more - then you should talk to someone. Perhaps you should be less harsh and judgemental of those who can't have children. Or of those who made a mature decision that the world is already over burdened with too many mouths being raised and too many of those are raised by folks with too little money to do it.

You seem blissfully unaware of how pension schemes work then. And who will be providing that medical care?
