signed item, can I sell it?

I have a rare Paolo Nutini cd, single 'These Streets' in card packaging, never sold. I was given it when I worked for Atlantic Records covering gigs, and had it signed by him in person at The Social, Nottingham.

It never had a retail price as it was never sold, the only other one I can find is on ebay for £44.99 (signature that is-on a photo that time)

Question is, am I allowed to sell it?

Dunno,but i have to say,he's hot:-D

why wouldn't you be allowed to sell it?

Yes, you can sell it. but I dont imagine you'd be able to sell it on here. Auction site or auction house for specialised items like this would be the way to go I'd think.

promotional records are not for resale usually, but if it doesnt say anywhere on it then do it. I used to get promo cds from where i used to work, and i sold the ones that were in retail packaging.

Because the mods have certain rules about items not being sold above RRP etc, this never had an RRP for a start, and I don't know how they feel about kind of projected worth of a signed item etc.

Its not really the record I'm selling though..its the signature. I know what you mean though which is why I'm hoping a mod will come forward. complicated process innit!

no offence, but I dont think his signature is worth that much tbh-virtually the whole of paisley, including most of the local dogs and cats have his signature-usually the value of signatures depend on how prolific a signer the artist is and how big a star they are.

paolo has been in our store many times and gets inundated by people asking for sigs and he patiently does it for everyone-nice for the fans but dilutes the value of it really.

to a collector the special packaging is no doubt of more value than the signature methinks-which brings you back to selling a "free" item which I dont think is allowed on here but ebay would be worth a punt.

Well theres only one on ebay, so theyre not that common, and he's cracked america etc within a year of him playing the smallest venue in Nottingham, so I think he's a pretty big deal. Will have a go.

Does that mean you can't sell autographs here either ?
