    Simple curry recipe wanted.

    Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a very simple Curry recipe. I dont want to use a jar of sauce. I have seen that condensed chicken soup can be used as a base to which you add curry powder. Not sure how that would work out but would give it a go!
I would rather not have to buy loads of ingredients, just want it kept simple.
I'm sure you must have some good recipes , fire away!
    Thanks,
    Mike.

    Indian or chinese?

Why not just use a jar of sauce? (You did ask for "simple")

Buy yourself one of those Pataks curry pastes they are brilliant. I make Lamb balti - marinade the lamb in natural yoghurt and turmeric then fry off some onions whack in a tablespoon of the curry paste and some garlic. Add the lamb and yoghurt, then a tin of chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, a wee pinch of sugar. I usually add some spinach too then put the lid on and let it simmer away. Oh, I forgot about the corriander! Got to have corriander in there!

I've got a brilliant Saag Aloo recipe too which I can give you if you want?!

I really cant believe that Google is beyond you, or do we have a problem here?

Leo what's?? Sounds a bit Sparta!!

No but I lived in Leeds for a while and we had season tickets for most of the 70's! Hubby is the real thing and can probably describe every goal that Eddie Grey ever scored. :-D

Curry - Patak's, own sweet peppers, onions, tin of toms, mushrooms, cook the meat , cube it, heat.

I have loads, but then i have an entire cupboard full of spices to use, so can't really sudgest much as i dont know what you have availbe, lol

but i marinade all the meat in yogurt, as it gets the flavours deeper into the meat, usualy with garlic, ginger, garam massala, mint, a little tumeric, and cumin

essential ingredients in a curry are the three 'C's.

    Chilli, Ground coriander, Cumin.

You'll never get a really good authentic curry using a pataks jar or condensed soup!
