Simply Games Contact Number, email adress? Exploding mains adapter :(

simplygames.com

I recently purchased a crimson and black DS from this company. The DS is a American import and they put in a cheap mains adapter (UK 3 pin plug)

Was charging the DS today and the adapter literally exploded it came apart in half, black smoke and a spark! Half of it landed approx 5 foot from the socket. Fortunately no one was hurt and it doesn't seem to have damaged the DS. All I can find on the simply Games website is a contact us auto send, which I have tried to use in the past with no success. I could really do with an email address for there managing director so I can email the picture I have taken of the remains!
Any advice on how to handle this matter would be appreciated.

I'd personally want to call up,I've looked for a number but can't find one.
There some website but I can't remember name of it which you put in a websites address and it says who's who runs it etc and full contact details, that info will usually contain telephone number.

if the DS is ok i wouldnt bother.... i mean do you want to risk another adapter doing this??/ just go into game and pick up one

yeh that be from the website I can't think what is called. Scamp you should def call them.

Have you tried the number? Certainly not guaranteed to work, the above is simply the whois lookup report (the information given when the site was registered...)

If you want info like the above on a website you need to use a 'whois' service. If its a .co.uk you can use the ]nominet whois lookup, for .coms and others domaintools is quite a good one whois.domaintools.com/

Loads more here: dmoz.org/Com…h//

maybe you should report this to trading standards. If this is a manufacturing defect it may have affected more than just your charger. Other people/kids may not be so lucky as you were.....

Thats true. Does the adapter have CE marks or other safety marks on it?

It does have the Ce Mark in and also made in china......

Whoa, that must have been a shock.

Bloody hell. I haven't taken mine out of the box yet as I've been on hols/busy. Now you got me worried! I certainly won't be using the adaptor. Thanks for the warning, and weren't you lucky. I agree with those who say you should report this in case it is a problem with others'.

EDIT: Anyone wanna buy mine?!
