Sims 3 laptop help

My daughter has a HP6735 laptop and has asked for Sims 3 for Christmas so I need to check it will work as the online technical mumbo jumbo has given me a headache.

The relevant specs of the laptop are:-

HP6735 Vista Basic 3GB

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor for Notebook PCs QL-62 (2.0-GHz, 2 x 512-KB L2 cache).

Integrated UMA Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 with shared system memory
Microsoft DirectX 10 capable.

Can anyone tell me if it will run ok on this laptop, she already plays Sims 2 with no problems but as I understand it, Sims 3 is a different matter.

go on the laptop and visit
www.canirunit.com select sim3 and it will tell you.

Sims 3 is much more graphical intense then sims 2. My PC before i upgraded the graphics card only just run ok with everything on high. But on initial look sims 3 should run on the laptop on native resolution but on low/medium settings.

But use the above link as its great for comparing the game and your system.

Repped! Thanks for this website!

Wouldn't work as kept saying "400 bad request malformed syntax" which may aswell have been in dutch for all the sense it makes to me.

It means the site is broken.

I've found those sorts of sites are generally rather poor at giving good answers anyway.

Your laptop is recent and Maxis are one of the few developers who want their games to run on all computers so you should be fine, although as others have said there may well be higher settings to make the game look prettier for those with more powerful computers.
