It's basically an 'on demand' service which lets you watch Sky's pick of the weeks top TV programmes and films.

its highly dependment on the type of subscription you have too...i have many movies stored on anytime but cant watch them coz of the package i'm on

It uses up half of the space on your box, but if you turn it off you dont get that space back...

It has programmes/films to suit everyone they are on there for a week and you can watch them or put them with all of your recordings and you have them for as long as you want

^^ i get loads of movies come up on there too but I'm not subscribed to any movie channels so can't watch

I wish there was a way to turn the service off and use the extra HDD space for recording normal programmes

We have the full package so I didnt realise that you could only watch stuff from the channels you subscribe to, but it shows you all of the anytime stuff. Thats not very good!

You can turn the service off, you just dont get the extra space. Annoying that, I would much rather use it myself!

Sky + is superb and anytime tv is just a selection of programs selected by Sky themselves although you have to have the subscription channels on your package for them to be added, I have the sports but have never had any of the footy etc added to anytime.

Get it you wont regret it.

Does this mean that when my Planner shows I have 60% space left, most of the used space is actually Anytime stuff? So I'm not getting 40 hours on my Sky+ box? only what is left after all the Anytime stuff?

No, I don't think the space for Anytime is factored in as it uses it's own separate area of the HDD

No, that percentage is just used by your recorded programmes.

The space in the box is split into 2 of equal amounts. That percentage is 60% of part A.

Part B is totally seperate and used for anytime programmes.

Because they are totally seperate, even if you turn off the anytime feature, the space can not be used for your own programmes
