I've just posted a Sky Hub in FS but a mod removed it saying it's sky property and cannot be sold. I think they may have been mistaken as Sky Q hubs are Sky property but standard Sky Hubs are property of customer on delivery and it even states this in T&Cs, why would the mods remove it?

In that case I also have a Sky Hub for sale as well as a Sky+ box

don't the sky hubs have the account details loaded into the them so can't be passed on ?

No it's an auto setup thing. Reset wipes the details.

Probably mod error:
If you take Sky Broadband with any other Sky TV package or without Sky TV, your Wireless Router (except the software in it) will become your property on delivery.

Yes, you're right.

Older Sky Hubs are yours.

Anything Sky Q branded isn't.

Ah good to know.
I noticed your ad and got thinking my sky fibre router is a white version of that one but mine is connected to another white box which I presume is a modem.
Do these newer black versions not need the extra box

The sky ADSL/Fibre authentication username and password is unique to each router, and auto generated by the router from its own MAC address plus its serial no. It's not tied to the account, they usually can be used by another sky customer after the original owner has cancelled, although I think they may get blocked under some exceptional circumstances, and if the original owner has extracted and continues to use the same authentication with a third party router you may both have connection problems.

The username and password you set to access the router's user interface (if you bother to change them) does get reset to defaults by a reset though, as will any other settings you may have added.
