Just got my talktalk bill through for this month and my normal £22 bill was £76 for the month. Checked out the bill and noticed a load of calls to 090 numbers totalling in excess of £50.

Turns out my 5 year old has been playing the interactive games on SKY, (LIttle Sod). His 5 year old friend showed him how.

I thought these must be free because it doesnt ask for any pin number to play.
Phoned SKY and complained and they said send a copy of the bill to them and they will see what they can do.

Has anyone else had this problem?.
Did Sky refund any or all of the money?.

I think its wrong for it to be so easy for a child to get onto chargeable service.

I have since set the Games to pin required and at the suggestion of Sky customer services also blocked 090 numbers via TalkTalk, as you can still be charged just pressing the red button during the kids programmes.

Can't believe a 5 year old could do this. Can't help but be impressed.

Oh Christ ! I'd better check mine when I get home. Got three kids and they're always on it, like yours. Never seem to get a paper bill, maybe it's online. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm pretty sure you can put a parental lock on these? :?

I'd suggest putting that on so they can't do it anymore!

you can set a pin plus set a minimum amount that the pin kicks in. you can have it so it asks every time (£0.00) or £5.00. I presume there are other amounts. go via services and set from there.

I have both our boxes so they ask everytime, this includes box office as well

Done all of the above now.
Just an expensive lesson to learn.

Everything else was pin protected but it didn't dawn on me that the interactive was separate.

just unplug the phone line its not needed
