    Sky multiroom

I want sky multiroom upstairs, i have a sky box with free to air on it already installed.

Spoke to sky and they said its £10 a month so I agreed and they asked if it was still on a landline, it never was so i told them and they said it needs to go to a landline. The nearest landline is downstairs so....

Question - Does it HAVE to be on a landline at first? or can I just say its still attached?

    thanks

best to have it attached to start off, otherwise they can charge you the full amount of the subscription cost. They do it to stop you giving the card to a friend at another address and getting cheap sky

i had the same problem but had my multi room in for over a year now and haven't connected to the phone line once but had a long phone extension incase there was a problem

did you need to connect it to activate it?

they know if the line is connected and will write to you if its not and then if its still not connected they will charge you what ever sub your on downstairs also the engineer will run a bt cable from downstairs to the box upstairs

nope they sent the card i already had the box and set it up myself it came up on screen to connect sometimes but never have and never been contacted about it even when i upgraded it to hd they sent 2 blokes and all they did was swop the box over no mention about it not being connected

Beware, if you do not have Multiroom connected to a landline telephone connection, Sky will charge you a fortune, not straight away, but they will eventually.

Check their T&C's, they are very strict about the Multiroom connection.

    Another Q.

If I get a Sky HD+ box, do I have to pay for the hd sub again? so £20 a month?
