SKY + Plus USB Ports - What are they for????

Had Sky Plus Fitted about a month ago and noticed it had a front and rear USB sockets. So i thought great i'll be able to connect my laptop or portable hard drive and download all the stuff i've recorded.............. WRONG!

After searching the Net apparently they are software disabled ready for future use and apparently they can only be used as USB chargers for charging USB devices.............

Is this totally correct or does anyone know anything different or does anyone know any way that recorded programmes can be transferred to my computer so i can burn to DVD? As this would be very useful as i'm sure alot of people will agree :-)

You are correct, long standing annoyance..... they are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard

You can put recorded programs from Sky onto DVD quite easily though, Google is your friend
