    Can someone help ? My current 30% discount on sky finishes 14th November and I have arranged for it to be cancelled on this day. Will I be offered a good deal before it comes to an end or is it worth phoning that last week ?

    If it does cancel and we lose sky+ recordings, do we get them back if we sign up again a week after ?

    What does the "if you have left sky in the last 12 months" offer ?

    Doubt it, I left in March after 11 years, they wouldn't offer me anything to stay, they tried to call my bluff but in the end I just left, you may be lucky but they don't value existing customers

    Agree with Westy125 no loyalty whatsoever from SKY they have a deal for new customers where you can get 60% off but they will more than likely not offer you that.

    Where is that deal and why don't you just start a new contract

    When my 50% discount ended, I just took out a new contract in the wife's name (£30 for complete package including HD).
    Every month I get a letter inviting me back with 50% off.
    You might have to call their bluff and leave for a month of 2, but you should get a reasonable offer in the end. Just make sure that you tick the 'receive communications by post' box in your Sky account.
    And if you do leave Sky,you will lose all your Sky+ recordings.

    Check the sky service app to see if you have a discount waiting for you you! Mine was 50%. Still I left and have been receiving come back to sky letters with the latest this week offering 60% off with £75 credit for the full package. Ring up and talk to the retention team and explain how much you enjoy sky and the customer service has always been exceptional but you are unable to afford the increase but really don't want to leave. Also explain that virgin are offering great deals for around what your paying now or cheaper but really want to stay with sky. Or apply as a new customer using a partners name or adding your middle name to your application which does work. Good Luck

No one, yes no one should pay full price for sky and to be honest in the last 3 years if you have been in an offer of 30% and no account credit you haven't been playing them at their own game either. In 14 years we probably gave paid full price in only about 6 months and now is even easier to get a discount.

    You also can't put your notice to cancel until 31 days before the end of your contract so cancelling in November won't be possible just yet.

    Exactly this. Had about 60% off for the last few years. Never pay full price for Sky. I wouldn't even contemplate paying for it unless its 50% off minimum. I get full TV package in HD (including Sports/Movies/Box Sets) for about £35.
