    Sleeping out of sync

    I get this every few months or so i wake up one day at it could have been my day off or as im unemployed a normal day - i wake up at around 4pm and im like woah i slept in
    So i get up and then when it hits 12 i try to go to sleep but i doesnt work so i watch tv and then it ends up being like 4am so i try to nod off and do and then iwake up the next day at 6pm

    Again woah so everyday for the past week ive been getting up at 4pm and i cant get my sleeping routine back in sync - ive tried and tried to fall asleep at 12 but i jut cant as im not tired

    Anyone have the same problem or no any tricks to help you sleep better

    i fall asleep at 5am after watching bbc parliament and then wake up around 1pm
    since im on summer holidays it all works out fine, and i watch parliament out of interest, not boredom

    Im similar but managed tor reset pattern a bit after toothache but problem now is im feeling exhausted a lot. But gradually better each day.

    Best way to sort it is dont sleep at all one night or have like 3-4 hours then go to bed around 10pm next night, you will feel a bit rough for a few days but after that fine.

    you got up early today then?

    I always get 8hours a sleep a night on average, it keeps me sharp,looking good and in athletic shape

    no but i know when you come home you just fall asleep

    I think the reason i get out of sync so often is my body wants loads of sleep like 12 hours a night
    i mean 2 weeks ago i had a really good routine going - got up at 8am every day and when to bed at 12 and then one day i watched a few programmes till about 2am and that was it been out of sync since

    Yeh thats how i usually do it - stay up an entire day and then i end up waking up the next at 6am and then my routine is fine for the next 3 weeks or so
    but i just cant seem to stay up an entire day i end up falling asleep

    Will try my hardest to fall asleep at 12 tonight

    try doing some physical activities
    i used to play frisbee for a couple of hours in the evening and that tired me out so much and i was able to sleep at 10pm and wake up at 8am no problem

    get a job!!!

    set an alarm and get up at 8am, maybe :thinking:

    lol im working on it - i applied to be a community police person last month so im awaiting my application response for the interview

    And tbh it would be the worst thing to get a job like this id be tired everyday

    Personally, I like staying up all night and sleeping all day. I can just chill and do what I want and no-one bothers me. Bliss.

    lol i had an interview for that ummm last november but they said i was too young - well i looked too young

    I had the same problem as you and I found a good solution to reset the sync.
    Simply stay up for a whole day and then you will be able to sleep at whatever time you want the next day since you are so tired. This is no joke and actually works!!

    but that would mean ive got to stay up till like 11pm tommorow night thats ages away

    will try to fall asleep tonight but if it doesnt work its an all nighter on hukd and cod4 for me

    force urself to wake up early - i.e. 9am for the next few days, you will find ursrlf getting to bed earlier too....

    its pretty simple, just dont go to sleep in the morning and t hen to sleep 12 hours before you want to wake up like 8pm or somerthing and then you will awake at 8am refreshed and back to normal

    Last few nights been hell for me as well,
    Im falling asleep on the settee FINE, sleeping no problem, the minute i go up to bed, i cant sleep. I lay awake thinking, worrying, my brains activity is driving me insane! It wont turn off!
    Tonight im resorting to taking a sleeping tablet if it happens again, im like a walking zombie at work!

    lol you're a vampire - you too dandoc, thats what my mother calls me - I know very, very demaning :oops:

    By the way dandoc I have the same problem, I woke up at 5PM today, its just that I can't wait up earlier because in the 1-4PM time frame I am dreaming heavily, so what I would suggest for myself and yourself is to wake up at 12PM no matter what and try and stay awake for the rest of the day and then sleep at 9/10/11PM. I would do this but I don't have the alarm clock to wake me up at 12PM.

    Also when you wake up (if you do follow my quest) make sure you go to the balcony or garden and look at the Sun for 30 seconds, it will boost you *name of hormone here* and wake you up.

    Worst thing for me is when i'm working nights & drink too much ( my fault i know & no not alcohol ) . Yesterday morning i was in bed about 7.30 up for the toilet at 10am & then again at 12 midday. Could not get back to sleep after that. Talk about bad sleep patterns but i think i take the biscuit :x
