smart meter that shows incorrect gas/electric prices

I moved to the peoples energy 1 months ago as they were a fair bit cheaper than scottish power. When i moved over my smart meter still displayed my original prices per kilowatt. I got in touch and they said this is fine and there was a delay in sorting it because of covid. Fast forward to now and its still not sorted and they are just fobbing me off now.

my concern is that i am actually paying the same price per kilwatt as before as my bills are still the same as when i was with scottish power.

Can anyone advise if the price showed on a smart meter is the price you will pay or if your energy supplier will sort this out at their end?
