Phone up the local fire station and they'll come and fit another one.

Best not use the 999 number though eh?:-D

i would give fire brigade first while waiting for them to come give the smokee alarm a good hoover it helped mine stop beeping for a while (its quite annoying the constant bleep)

we get them from time to time at work and we go round straight away to replace them so phone your local firestation, in the mean time if you can take it down put it outside on the door step.

Why don't you just change it yourself and fit one with a replacable battery. That's all the beeping means, the battery is dying.

Yep, just take the battery out

I bet it is. I love taking sh1t apart!

in cheshire we will call out the same day if possible and replace any that are beeping, so just give your local station a ring and tell them its driving you round the bend.

I still think it's pathetic that people need to be given a potencially … I still think it's pathetic that people need to be given a potencially life saving device for free inorder to use it and they won't just buy some.

The fire service issued ones are far better than shop bought and i got them free when i was moving in as they contacted me...

Anyways don't matter how/where you get them from, as long as they work;-)

lol I hid mine in the shed as beeping drove me mad - no battery to take out and would not stop beeping. Fire Brigade rang back same day after filling in form online and are coming out on Tuesday to fit us a new one.

nah take the fire alarm off and there will be a wire and they will tell you to cut it or sumin and it will stop
