So how many 'partners' do you think a web site shares your data with?

Sorry for the 'long' post.

Nipped over to Huffington Post last night and got a bit of a shock when I clicked a few keys on their privacy notice.

The answer to the question for huffpo uk is 437 (what I think of as data r**e partners). I only recognise about half a dozen of them

I don't care to be honest. I probably should though but I don't. As I hear often on tech podcasts. If You're Not Paying For It, You Become The Product
Too many.
Wonder how much of Alexa snooping gets shared with partners.....
Similar to yahoo. And they didn’t have an option to deselect all until I complained. And I have more accounts
It is similiar to having 437 neighbours sharing your personal data and then they gossips about you, some may take positive actions and some may take negative actions against you.

You have nothing to hide, so you think, but the praise or shaft you in ways that only 437 neigbouring partners would know when the devil makes idle hands work or the god makes idle hands work.

It takes 436 godly positive actions to build your beautiful uplifting lifestyle, only for 1 evil negative action to neutralise all the gains in your life.

Howvever, you hope that all 437 neighbours will do you good all the time, anywhere.
None; if you don't give them any data to share.

If you don't like it, don't bring the snooping products into your home.

It really is that simple.

I don’t have one, I was simply pointing it out.
Thank Goodness the EU have taken care of this with the new privacy law (Chinney Reckon!!)

Privacy is a concept and doesn't really exist in the real world. As soon as you're online you start leaving a trail. Best option is to be uninteresting enough that no one takes notice in you.
Don’t forget for every partner you bump uglies with. You’re effectively bumping uglies with 100s of partners.
Online or in the sack it’s all the same. At least in the sack you can cover up.
Why can't I just tell one organisation that I never want my info shared with anyone ever. are we automatically opted in.
That's a scary list I've only heard of o2. I was expecting Argos and Tesco. Ain't got the foggiest who and what these companies do. Let alone why they would want my data and what they plan to do with it.

What sort of data would they have? I'm assuming it's all anonymous? Or more than likely I'm being naive.
I’d imagine this place is just as bad.... 100s. Everyone trying to make a buck off your data these days.

Keep a computer off-line and write your documents there.

Better option is to use someone else's computer/internet then sit back and watch them get taken away national security

You can bet it will be next years "scandal". How dare they record everything I say!

I can't wait for Google headboard Cam to roll out and Amazons nano bot suppository.
