I'll start. Home premium from tescos. No idea when it will come! lol

im still waiting to see what you all think before taking the plunge.

Home premuim from amazon. Supersaver delivery, so probably get it early november with the strike.

perhaps a bit off topic, but what are the benefits over vista premium?

I ordered Windows 7 Professional from that student offer.

Got it free from University

£43.27 from Tesco.

whats the difference between professional and premium?

I've gone for 32bit win 7 professional - £30 using my GF's uni address. It's for my new asrock ION 330 HTPC which I'm ordering later this week

I think mine is just a download of a ISO which I can burn to a dvd so stuff the postie strike

ordered pro from the student offer and home premium from pc world. don't care when they come. anyone who's got one ordered can just download the final release and go ahead and install it, you've got 30 days to put the cd key in. I doubt it'll take 30 days for them to deliver. Once you get it, put the cd key in, totally legal, no need to wait.

Ordered one £44 from currys and one from tesco £44.

Looking forward to them coming.

Will wait til the prices increase and sell one in the coming months.

the main benefit is that it actually works as it was intended to. Doesn't hog resources. They started making windows 7 the day vista was released. That says a lot. Look at the gap between xp and vista, and the gap between vista and 7.

I have ordered windows 7 and have 2 PCs ,One runnind windows 7 and one running vista ,I think i am actually gonna sell the windows 7 PC and stick with vista as i prefer it, As long as you have a fast processor and at least 2gb of RAM there isnt a lot between them,

The shorter gap between Vista and 7 only reflects that in development terms there isn't a huge difference between them (sharing drivers etc)
