    Well done Jeany :whistling:

Slightly questionable example for comparison, however Maplins have some Pifco ones in the sale in a box of 10 for I think about £12 and also Wilkinsons had some the other day for half price in the gardening section clearout.

If you find some that last more than a couple of months let me know.
Every set I've ever had ends up in the bin.

You need to re-charge the batteries in them :? not bin them !

Or change them if they aren't re-chargeable.

The brightest ones i've had so far are some i bought from Quality Save, but they only have shops in the North of England.

I assume they are brighter because they have 2 batteries in each one.

They don't last very long in summer, and only a couple of hours this time of year.

One set of mine were still lit at 3am this summer:thumbsup:

But the sun didn't set until 11.30

I think it depends on the quality of the battery. Mine used normal AA rechareable batteries,so last longer when new.

But you said they don't last long in the summer, that's long enough and i've not changed the batteries either:thumbsup:

They don't ALL run on re-chargeable batteries,i found that out recently when i spent a LOT of time asking sellers what batteries were in ones for sale on Ebay.

You'd be surprised how many people don't even know they have batteries in them at all.

I've no idea,i'm just repeating what i was told by a number of sellers, unless their information was duff,a number of them had small round batteries in,i was told they weren't re-chargeable:?

Do you have any item numbers? If people are telling you this, then there … Do you have any item numbers? If people are telling you this, then there is something wrong.:?The batteries you describe sound like the ones that power very small current items like watches, for instance. They don't sound like they are capable of powering garden lights.

I mailed loads of sellers and some replies i had were strange to say the least,in the end i bought some that someone mentioned earlier in the thread from Wilkinsons, they were reduced solar post lights and were 2,50 each:thumbsup:

I've pm'd you a couple of item numbers of sellers that told me they were round batteries:thumbsup:

We got a pair of solar wall lights from Wilkinsons this year. They are black carriage style ones. About £12.00 each.

They are really quite bright for solar, I'd certainly recommned those.

    Hope this helps.
