Anyone that says yes to their offer

Do they still cover "accidental" damage with new for old replacement? If so you could turn the joke around on them by taking the insurance then accidentally dropping your laptop in just under 5yrs time thus getting yourself a new, 5yrs better, laptop to the same £500 value.

That would be very very naughty however.....

Never do that, 14 months to failed graphics card - the SOGA will probably side with you, you've just got to kick up a fuss. It wasn't one with a Nvidia graphics chip with a ]known fault was it?

I'd not settle for that if its a Nvidia chip with a known fault - goods are not fit for purpose. Also from what I gathered HP were offering free extended warranties and repairs on laptops with broken NVidia chips - it might be worth getting back in touch with them

I bought a netbook for £200 from PC world and they offered me extended warranty for £120! No thanks, then they said i can finance the extended warranty if i wanted so i would be 'so' much a month LOL.
