I'm 23.

it was important people voted because BNP are gaining votes whilst people are not voting giving them a bigger chance - the scum labour has taken Lib Dem where i am and that was on a day of them losing heavily ...

Er I dunno...Burn the immigrants to provide more heating for the country? I know they want to scrap the congestion charge and presumably pay for things out of their own pockets. It's not incredibly well thought out.

That sucks.

The BNP sent my friends a letter, handwritten envelope no less, with a hilarious-if-it-was-a-spoof-but-it-wasn't glossy letter telling us that if we didn't vote for them then peadophiles would get our children and that labour were stealing their votes. It also gave a phone number for more information.

Clue: Don't give a group of bored people who are stuck inside because of the snow when they were meant to be having a barbecue and are therefore a little drunk your phone number, particulalry if you are a group of racist idiots. They didn't answer but we left some nice voicemails...

OK - it just irritates me when people don't vote, as it is easier to do so now than it has ever been.

A quote from their website

'Britain’s population is now over 60 million and rising, solely due to immigration.'

They've toned down some of their literature but make no mistake of their intentions. Throughout history there have been some very nasty people elected into power... The BNP made the mistake of showing their true colours (no pun) and now they're back-pedalling to win votes...

Stop the paedophiles and scrap congestion charges... hmm...

as much as i hate the BNP that one is true - birth rates have fallen below the death rates, so we would be in natural decreasing population, but in fact we are not - due to migration

Unfortunately I seem to have deleted it, which is a shame. I'm sure if you go on their website they probably have it - it was just a mobile number nothing fancy. Although I wouldn't suggest looking up the website from work - could get some funny reactions from IT!

I got voted to call first and I was going to ask them about labour stealing their votes, but I got put through to voicemail so the natural reaction was to leave a message saying that at least the conservatives have immigrants to answer the phones.

As I said, beer had been consumed. It was very juvenile.

why are there no ethnic minoirties on this site?

They have multi racial members now, there was an asian dude on the last leaflet I got.
I think it was trying to say 'look we're not racist, we've changed'. Sadly people will believe that but if they ever won elections, I think you'd find that most of the ethnic minorities would lose their jobs with the BNP.
They're just being used.
Sad but true, that's the BNP's agenda.

How on earth can you make that assumption!?:?

The BNP’s policy is to:

1) Help, nurture and encourage new and existing British industries to be successful.
2) Protect British companies from unfair foreign imports, while promoting domestic competition.
3) Increase taxes on companies which outsource work abroad.
4) Raise the threshold for paying income tax to £15,000.
5) Reintroduce the married man’s allowance and raise the inheritance tax threshold to £1 million.
6) Encourage savings, investment, worker share-ownership and profit-sharing.
7) Halve the council tax by centralising education costs and eliminating multiculturalism spending and unnecessary bureaucracy.
Renationalise monopoly utilities and services, compensating only individual investors and pension funds.
9) Withdraw from the EU.
10) Establish independent trade and travel agreements with the EU and other countries.
11) Deport all the two million plus who are here illegally.
12) Deport all those who commit crimes and whose original nationality was not British.
13) Review all recent grants of residence or citizenship to ensure they are still appropriate.
14) Offer generous grants to those of foreign descent resident here who wish to leave permanently.
15) Stop all new immigration except for exceptional cases.
16) Reject all asylum seekers who passed safe countries on their way to Britain.
17) Deport the tens of thousands of foreign criminals to serve their sentences abroad.
18) Make prisons more austere and make criminals serve their full sentences.
19) Use electronically tagged ‘chain gangs’ to provide labour for projects such as coastal defences.
20) Introduce automatic prison sentences for all repeat offenders.
21) Give judges the option of the death penalty for premeditated murder where guilt is incontrovertible (eg. through DNA evidence).
22) Put police back on the streets and remove the political correctness shackles from them.
23) Allow victims of crime full freedom to defend themselves and their property.
24) Take joint custody of children the norm in divorce cases.
25) Grant anonymity to those accused of crimes until they are convicted.
26) Make police concentrate on real criminals and serve the public, not the state.
27) Strengthen our conventional forces.
28) Retain a genuinely independent nuclear deterrent and produce all our weaponry in Britain.
29) Only commit British forces when British national interests are at stake.
30) Preserve and restore our historic County Regiments.
31) Stop building on green land; new housing will be built on derelict ‘brown land’.
32) Require supermarkets to source a steadily growing percentage of their food from British farms.
33) Remove unsightly overhead power lines from beauty spots and bury these underground.
34) Create a bulk transport tax regime that pushes supermarkets to supply more local and seasonal produce.
35) Encourage the most extensive and rapid switch over possible to organic and low fossil fuel farming techniques.
36) Ban the ritual slaughter of animals without pre-stunning, and the sale of such meat.
37) Eliminate the unhealthy, energy intensive and cruel factory farming of livestock.
38) Abolish all ‘stealth taxes’ and other charges on household rubbish collections.
39) Replace 100,000 NHS bureaucrats with doctors, nurses and dentists.
40) Invest sufficient money in the NHS to provide a decent service to the British people.
41) Bring hospital cleaning back in-house and make high cleanliness a top priority.
42) End the scandal of foreign ‘health tourism’.
43) Train and pay to retain British doctors, nurses and dentists instead of looting the Third World of staff who are desperately needed in their home countries.
44) Restore discipline – including corporal punishment - uniforms, traditional teaching methods and stricter exams (eg. ‘O’ levels).
45) Reintroduce grammar schools with entrance exams at 11 and 13.
46) Reverse the closure of special needs schools which penalises the most vulnerable.
47) Reintroduce competitive sports and daily Christian assemblies.
48) Ensure all students are literate and numerate and are taught British history.
49) Abolish fees and restore full grants to university students studying proper subjects.
50) Improve school food as proper meals have been shown to be linked to behaviour and achievement. Food should be sourced from local suppliers whenever possible.
51) End the scandalous and racist neglect that has left working class white boys at the bottom of the table for academic achievement.
52) Give home-schooling parents tax-breaks or their fair share of the education budget.
53) Introduce a compulsory Community Award Scheme for all school-leavers to teach them work ethics and social and community values.
54) Make all benefits and social housing only available to British citizens.
55) Introduce a system of workfare for those on unemployment benefit for more than six months with compulsory work and training in return for decent payment.
56) Make length of residency in an area the key criterion for council house allocation.
57) Preserve the ‘right to buy’ of individual tenants, but with the money from sales being used to build more council houses.
58) Take all privatised social housing stock back under local democratically controlled council ownership.
59) Develop alternative transport fuels such as bio-diesel and hydrogen.
60) Develop renewable energy sources such as off-shore wind farms, wave, tidal and solar energy.
61) Investigate the feasibility of cutting-edge, intrinsically-safe, fast-breeder nuclear stations.
62) Invest in a high-speed, magnetic levitation, inter-city rail network.
63) Allow the building of a new privately-funded airport on reclaimed land in the Thames estuary to reduce the pressure on, and stop the constant expansion of, the South East’s airports.
64) Stop the persecution of motorists by, for instance, reducing the number of speed cameras.
65) Abolish the road fund licence and the hidden tax known as the ‘congestion charge’.
66) Abolish ‘anti-discrimination’ laws which prevent people from making a free choice.
67) Abolish all restrictions on traditional free speech; common law provisions against incitement to violence are the only proper limits in a free society.
68) Reject ID cards, intrusive surveillance and the retention of DNA samples of the innocent.
69) Introduce an English parliament within the United Kingdom.
70) Devolve powers to the lowest local level practical.
71) Introduce citizen-initiated referenda whose outcome is binding on parliament.

This really gets my goat - at the end of the day - you will only be 'persecuted' if you break the speed limit - i.e. break the law.

I think the reason I don't have a problem with speed cameras is - I don't speed

45) Reintroduce grammar schools with entrance exams at 11 and 13.

But leave the 12 year olds free to write our manifesto

To be honest, there is a lot in there I would happily go along with, it's just a shame it's poisoned by the rest. UKIP ;-)

UKIP POLICIES IN BRIEF PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 April 2008

* UKIP will leave the political EU and trade globally and freely. We will re-embrace today’s fast-growing Commonwealth and we will encourage UK manufacturing so that we make things again.
* We will freeze immigration for five years, speed up deportation of up to a million illegal immigrants by tripling the numbers engaged in deportations, and have ‘no home no visa’ work permits to ease the housing crisis.
* We will have a grammar school in every town. We will restore standards of education and improve skills training. Student grants will replace student loans.
* We will radically reform the working of the NHS with an Insurance Fund, whilst upholding the ‘free at the point of care’ principles. We will bring back matrons and have locally run, clean hospitals.
* We will give people the vote on policing priorities, go back to proper beat policing and scrap the Human Rights Act. We will have sentences that mean what they say.
* We will take 4.5 million people out of tax with a simple Flat Tax (with National Insurance) starting at £10,000. We will scrap Inheritance Tax, not just reform it and cut corporation taxes.
* We will say No to green taxes and wind farms. To avert a major energy crisis, we will go for new nuclear power plants on the same existing site facilities and for clean coal. We will reduce pollution and encourage recycling.
* We will make welfare simpler and fairer, introduce ‘workfare’ to get people back to work, and a new citizens pension and private pensions scheme insurance.
* We will support our armed forces with more spending on equipment, military homes and medical care. We will save our threatened warships and add 25,000 more troops.
* We will be fair to England, with an English Parliament of English MPs at Westminster. We will replace assembly members like MSPs with MPs. And we will promote referenda at local and national levels.
* We will make customer satisfaction number one for rail firms – not cost cutting and will look seriously at reopening some rail lines that Beeching closed. We will make foreign lorries pay for British roads with a ‘Britdisc’ – and we will stop persecuting motorists.
* Last, but never least, we will bring in fair prices and fair competition for our suffering farmers, and restore traditional British fishing and territorial waters.

I don't think that is the point... more the fact I won't be able to afford a place to live when I leave uni because of the growing population. Areas like the Lake District have got it on lock... u can only buy a house in certain areas if u have lived there 5 years or so (So born there etc.) Gives the locals a chance.

Have a look a your local council website, they list the results and then the turnout, around here the average turnout was just 26% and that dips to 19% in some areas, how bad is that? How long till no one votes? Where will we be then?

Am not 100% sure on this one (death is slightly different to £60 fine and 3 points)

Part of me is thinking along the lines of 'life for a life' but then how would it be carried out? who would do it? What if it was later proved wrong? etc
