Son needs to dress up as a roald dahl character

My son (7) has to dress up as roald dahl character for school in Nov.

What can he go as? also how do i make/find the outfits? im no good at dressing up stuff so have no idea what i could do.

tjat was the kid. the bfg wore a white shirt and green trousers
what about Willy wonka and the chocolate factory?
lots of choices there. A suit, stick and BIG glasses? Or as Charlie etc.

There were boys in some of the books, there was Danny, who was a bit scruffy and whose Dad wa a poacher and James was in the Giant Peach wasnt he? Maybe he could be one of those.

nah the older oompa loomps are more distinct i think if i saw someone dressed like that i would know straight away

Wouldn't worry too much though, my daughter had to dress up as a book character, she went as a cat(the magic kitten) it was just a fundraising day, the school's ok as long as they get their money for charity;-)



That reminds me of one of my worst childhood memories, at primary school we had a fancy dress day and all of the parents had made really amazing costumes (it was general, no specific theme) and my mum just sent me in my normal clothes with a wooden spoon and said that i was George from George's Marvellous Medicine, oh the shame.............

What about going as one of the witches - should be easy to get a costume for that at this time of the year !
