Can't decide which of these TV's to go for. Can get the Sony for £599, the Samsung £849, so quite a difference - but is the KS7000 with Quantum Dot worth the cost, or is the Sony a good set? Any advice welcome, thanks.

Samsung the apps load better

ks7000 see a fair few complaints about 'judder' other than that it's a solid TV, hopefully a firmware update will solve judder issues

Are you talking about the current models or generalising from older TVs? Right now Samsung is missing All4 while Sony not only has all the UK catch-up via Youview but runs Android TV so has a fair selection of other apps.

One difference betweem then is that the KS7000 has much more HDR ability, the Sony's only an entry level HDR TV comparable in ability to Samsung's KU6400-6670. You'd be looking at the XD93 for something comparable to the KS7000/8000.

The other is that the Sony's an IPS panel with the Samsung is VA so the picture looks better at wider angles, but the black levels for low light viewing aren't as good.
