How about HP 3920 from Argos?

And I wouldn't touch Lexmark printers with a bargepole. Dell a920 is Lexmark X1150, BTW

My only concern about HP is that they are shipped with low capacity (150 pages) inks. And HP cartridges are not quite cheap. Can you push it a bit further and get Epson C46 or Canon Pixma ip1000 or ip1600?

I've heard that when you buy a lot of new printers they are shipped with lower capacity cartridges than normal. I don't rate lexmark either - I'm using their cartridges in my dell (rebadged lexmark) printer and the quality is very poor. Really I'm after a printer that I can throw away (or sell on ebay) once the ink rubs out, just to tide me over untill I can afford a decent printer.

If you are OK buying from Pixmania, then they are selling Canon IP1600 on Amazon for 34.99 delivered

Can you work out if it comes with both cartridges or not? Also is there any reason I should be warey of buying from pixmania?

I would expect cartridges to be included but Pixmania is French company, so I am not sure whether their stuff is UK-spec. Many people are happy buying from them, though.
