the free trial link just takes you to the general booking link though, …the free trial link just takes you to the general booking link though, like there is no confirmation it is free during the entire booking process so my concern is I will show up at spex and they will charge me fullyalso the bottom small print says 'Current prescription required. Alternatively, an eye test and contact lens assessment will be required at our standard charge.' so seems you can only get it if you have a current prescription?any advice from anyone who has done this?
Do you have to specifically quote this offer or is it free by default?
It says you need a current eye test prescription and yes it's a free contact lens trial offer, although as someone else mentioned they'll try to get you signed up to some sort of subscription service which you'll have to decide whether or not you want it.
when you have the trial they'll test to confirm the correction you require before advising lenses.
It might be easier to either phone or call in at your local Specsavers and say I'm interested in trying contact lenses do you have any current offers then they'll explain the available options.
Hasn't this been a permanent offer for years. I had it 20 years ago, wife did 3 weeks ago.
Nope. They ideally want you to sign up to monthly plan which includes all contact lens checks, eye tests etc.
You can just buy a box as and when without the monthly plan but then you pay for follow up contact lens checks etc. (edited)
Not exactly a new offer but good for those looking to try cintact lenses for the first time

I just paid for a trial on Friday 2 days to late
Any costs at all for the assessment?
Does it includes the eye tests?
This is an ongoing offer.
They don't give you a free eye test with this offer but they do a contact lens consultation where they check the eye, it's health and show you how to put them in and take them out.
I can remember when I was new to them and the damned thing tore and I couldn't get half of it out. Ouch!
How much is it monthly? Would be interested as i wear glasses daily when I shouldn’t have! Sposed to be whenever for distance but my eyes are used to them
Do not know how people can do contact lenses. Not a nice experience with the optometrist putting one in for me and taking it off , was bloody horrible
i remember doing this trial years ago, fell asleep on sofa with them still in, not good 😳.
I've booked a Specsavers Contact Lens so-called "Free Trial" but they are saying it costs £25. Can I just order the lenses as part of the free trial and not have to pay the £25 which i am guessing is for their talking about how to put lenses in which any of the thousand tutorals (even one from SpecSavers themselves) on YouTube can show/guide? I guess the question is: is there even an "option" to say "no, thank you" to the £25 charge? Anyone done this before? Or can suggest any other provider that won't charge. I think Marks and Spencers Opticians seem to be a good option and seem free with no charges.
