    Speed of wireless adapters..important?

I'm currently using a Netgear Rangemax router which enables 108mbps and am about to buy a USB adapter. I have tried using a Belkin 54mbps adapter and it worked well, i got a faster connection that the computer downstairs that has the broadband on it - somehow??

Anyway if I buy the WPN111 netgear 108mbps adapter for around £20 will that enable faster speeds and a better connection than the Belkin 54mbps I have borrowed from a friend, which I could buy for £9.99.

    Thanks, Alix

Yes and no...........it really depends on the speed of your connection whether it's worth it or not. I use the Netgear one though and it's the better option in the long run as it's more future proof.

Also don't forget your wireless network will only run as fast as the slowest connection to it.....
