    hi all i want to do a spread sheet but my laptop doesnt have excel or anything like that on, is there any way of doing one on the computer without it, thanks

    No - you can't do a spreadsheet on a PC or laptop without software. You could try using paper & a pencil, or try OpenOffice - it's free:

    its so much easier to do it on a computer than on paper as will need to make a few changes quite often, thanks

    ive just downloaded open office and was wondering if anybody knows how you do an sum, in excel you usualy put = then the cells you want it to add but it doesnt seem to work on this. Anybody know how you do it please?

    Google Docs does look good, but I am weary putting all my info into something that can be looked at by google, or anyone else!! - Sign of the times I think. one day we wont need high performance computers, just good internet connections!
