thewhiskyexchange.com/p/5…021Springbank released their annual batch of 25 Year old whisky yesterday (limited release of 1400 bottles) and of course it sold out in seconds.
The whisky exchange however are balloting off their allocation and if you want a bottle you have until tomorrow to enter.
This is investment grade whisky and appreciated not for everyone, but if it interests one person then I'll consider this worth posting.
"A 25-year-old Springbank single malt that has been matured in a combination of sherry, bourbon and rum casks for a quarter of a century before being bottled in 2021. Aromas of stewed rhubarb, tropical fruits, golden syrup, shortbread and barbecued meats fill the nose, complemented by notes of almonds, pecan pie, butterscotch, peat smoke, brine and dried fruit throughout the palate."

One Rum lovers treat may be a bottle of Havana Club 7, anothers treat may be a bottle of Ron Zacapa 23 and anothers treat may be something altogether nicer still. The fool is the person who has not learned this by adulthood. (edited)
Anything is worth paying for if the buyer considers it to be worth it.
This weekend, I've had a couple of springbanks, 12 and 15 Yr old. Fantastic whiskies, well worth their salt. But they retail at sub £70, if you are lucky to get them.
The 21 and 25 are on totally different levels. If you have a serious interest in whisky, then it's worth spending the £375 on.
If you don't have a big interest in whisky, then Cardhu will be £23 sometime soon.
What you do with your money or your whisky is no ones business but yours.
In your opinion. Many would disagree.
Oh, and please remember that Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis etc. are just cars.
Sounds a bit like jealousy but hey ho..
That’s the thing, you don’t drink it.
Some people pay insane amounts for exclusive old whiskey bottles.
Keep it 10 years and price will have likely tripled.
A fool and his money are easily parted.... so so true....
Good luck to anyone that enters!
