SSD - CRUCIAL MX500 vs SAMSUNG EVO

Posted 21st Jan 2023
Looking to pull the trigger on a 1tb or 2tb drive this weekend.

MX500 1tb can be had for £62 delivered (warranty valid).

Ideally would prefer a Samsumg Evo 1tb for a price that is similar (or in the same ball park range).

Asking the community for help with this - anyone know of a pathway (discount codes/abandoned cart/student discount/work perks/bluelight) that gets me close?

Many thanks,

    okay,

Open to what you're saying. The real reason I was tempted towards the EVO is the software suite that's included.

It just works. First time. Every time.

With the crucial, they are cheaper - but I have read reports of others having problems with their software suite when trying to migrate over or clone drives.

The cheapest I could find a 1tb MX500 is £62.15 (Crucial website with newsletter 10% off).

If anyone has a pathway to get one cheaper - I'd appreciate it if you could explain how.

Valid warranty (approved reseller) is a must though.
