Hi all,

I'm going to introduce my 3 year old staffie bitch to another staffie bitch pup tomorrow at the local rescue center.

My current staffie is very friendly with other dogs (male & female), and the 12 week old pup has been at a foster home with 2 other dogs - I just wondered if anyone else has successfully kept 2 staffie bitches together ?

After having 8 staffies, your brave lol! Mine have never got aggressive with other dogs, but i can tell, especially my Lulu, well she gets the hump big time! Only with other staffs though! Her sister is a big dopey labrador, and they think the sun shines out of each others butts!
All the best, hope it goes well

Thanks for that, just assessing all options

Do you leave yours alone together at all ?

Should be fine, just be carefull and make sure the older one doesnt feel pushed out...jealousy in dogs aint pretty

i have 2 dalmatians the female is 3years and the male is 10months, jess was fine with other dogs but when we got ozzie as he was so younge all he wanted to do was play and jess gets a bit pee'd off sometimes and puts him in his place, but she's now started to get funny with other dogs havent a clue why, but she and ozzie are ok together

My lab and Staff are always alone together, they do everything together, but the staff is the boss! Whereas my neighbours staff pure annoys the poop out of her, she growls and basically gets the hump and sulks, i wouldnt leave these together. All other breeds of dogs are fine, and play happily, just not my staff and other staffs.
Bit of a waffle, but introduce them slowly and under total control and i think you will be fine.

I have 2 staffys! A male and a bitch though, they get on great although the bitch is the boss out the pair of them! I have been advised never to leave 2 staffs together, someone on a forum i go on (staffy one) got a puppy and their other dog appeared to be fine with the pup, they left them together alone and the older one and the puppy got into a fight, the pup died as a result!
I always keep my 2 seperate when i leave the house but its very rare i will leave my 2 babies alone!

Decided against it

Went to see her, both got on great, but it turned out to be a long legged staffy, I wanted a short one. Ah well, no rush, thanks for the input guys
