A few months ago I was in staples and the person who was serving me asked if I wanted one. normally I would have told them where to go but as there was a long queue behind I said ok

Anyway, yesterday I got a proper plastic membership card through the post with a £10 off £25 voucher included. So anybody who visits Staples, take one of their cards and fill it in, you may get the same:thumbsup:

An added comment on this. Just got last quarters mailing, a £3 rewards voucher... But that's not all... Also included was...

£50 off a 1TB Iomega external drive (dropping the instore price to £99.99!!!) and £10 off an 80GB Portable Lacie drive, dropped to £29.99 (£39.99 at play etc).

So well worth picking a card up imho.

Crikey! Not bad! Id probably take advantage of the 1TB drive. Wished I'd been evil like you when I bought a huge stash of Verbs a while back.

Recently bought several reams of A4 paper at Tottenham Hale branch and was told I could get future discounts by using this bright red plastic "rewards" card. All I needed to do was somehow "register" it online. You gotta be joking. Talk about endless complicated incoherent pages which make no sense at all. To be sure, your almost daily adverts for stuff I'll never need now fill my inbox; that much was predictable as soon as I was gullible enough to divulge my email address to the checkout operator. In fact this whole affair has proved so distasteful that I now don't even want to go back there to buy further reams, not even at normal cost. Sorry guys, but this useless gimmick has done nothing to inspire confidence.

Brian Wurzell.

The website allows only business customers to register Rewards cards. What is the point of staff pressing them upon private individuals? There must be an ulterior motive: Staples wants my email address to bombard me with advertising!!!
