I'm waiting for the DTS-HD MA 7.1
It's kinder to the environment
Saw this last night (yes at the premiere! ) and I don't think fans will be too disappointed with it Not saying any more as going in knowing nothing about the film at all is obviously the best way!

Does the man in the red jersey, that's beamed down to the planet, get killed first?
Off to watch it tonight midnight showing - can’t wait!
Whilst I lined up round the block as a kid for the 1st star wars.

I will wait until I have read every spoiler going before watching. Reverse spoiler theory works a treat on me.
Going to see it at midnight, cant wait!!!!
For anyone intending my on seeing it. Avoid all spoilers.

It’s one of those, where what happens next isn’t obvious and keeps you guessing.
What happened to the spolier free part of this conversation
It is the best star wars movie ever, over two hours long but it didn't drag.

I'm going to watch it again at the weekend.
I saw it yesterday morning (on my own) and I'm going again on Tuesday night with my lad to see it in 3D. I have to say it is amazing
The IMAX version for me actually makes 3d not an issue unlike most movies

Just seen it today. Totally agree. One particular scene really hit me in the feels. Hard to hint at what it was without giving anything away though.

Saw it today. The humour in it did pull me out a bit, some of it bordered on 'Spaceballs' territory. Maybe could've done with losing 15 or 20 minutes from the middle...

Enjoyed it overall though. Some real surprises, can't wait for Episode 9.
Bad movie.
Way too long at two and a half hours and it just dragged on and on.
Could have reduced it by at least half an hour had they removed a completely pointless sub plot.

That said, it's still better than Episode 7 though.

It didn't need to be there did it. It felt like they;d planned for it to be a larger sequence and was cut down because it had some things they had to leave in. Looked pretty though, and I enjoyed the cameo even if it was leftovers.
Meh, we need a new thread where we can include spoilers!

That I know the part you're talking about, without either of us specifically talking about it says a lot though...

5 star, this is not. I love Star Wars, there was a lot of good scenes in the film, but I was mega disappointed with the film for the major plot points absolutely wasted (anyone who was watching YouTube channels like “Star Wars Theory” and articles on the Theory of what could happen in the film regarding “relationships” and motives, will be disappointed), the pacing (felt like scenes were cut short, especially in the first half hour, nowhere near as bad in the cutting as Batman v Superman though), and the sheer amount of filler to bag up the run time (which also distracted from the main storyline and focus of the film, it’s like the team didn’t have enough material for the main thing everyone wanted to see so shoved in this mindless filler). Also the comedic elements were more of a typical Disney Channel teen sitcom instead of proper Star Wars.

I give this film a score of 4/10, maybe 6/10 for the action scenes (one in particular was absolutely awesome, but unfortunately led to one of the major mistakes). This “new trilogy” is dead after two “episodes”, thanks a lot Rian Johnson. As Angry Joe would say, you done effed it up!

Loved Rogue One, belongs with the classic original trilogy (original despecialised of course, not the edited versions)
