    bit outrageous for a £289 a night room though? Got the room and I felt like crying, on top of that we had to go to Mcdonalds each morning for her tea fix as there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. On a side note I've decided our next bed will be a Simmons best nights sleep ever!

    Yes, we always take a small kettle and tea making stuff - cannot stand not having my morning cuppa. McDonalds each morning - arrgghh!

    No you don't hate me. Two beds put together is fine, in my rather long experience! ( Missed the neg vibes in your OP!)

    Aw mate; gutted for ya; seriously - best place we ever stayed in - and go back to is a 2 star apartment - family run . And that's the key IMO "family run" - they proper look after you; I stopped doing hotels years ago - if you ever fancy Zakynthos (which is an amazing and beautiful island) drop me a PM and I'll send you the details. Its SC but within minutes of the shops/bars/restaurants/beach; but I always prefer SC any day

    It was good for after but kept falling down the hole, it was so hot in our room even though it was -9 to -11 outside

    This is normal not just for Greece, but for many other countries. As in most countries, people don't use toilet paper, they use a hand and water.

    Are you sure that it was two single beds pushed together?
    Most Austrian hotels have what's called an Austrian twin bed, this is a king size bed frame with two single mattresses and two single duvets.
    If you ordered a king size bed and didn't get it, I hope that you complained to the tour company.

    What's to organise? ;
    Book flights,
    book parking,
    book hotel,
    book travel insurance,
    get someone to look after the house,
    put money in nationwide account so we can have free withdrawals.

    I did all that but in the hurry of organising the wedding on reading the email I jumped straight to the time it had been changed to, ignoring the date.
