Still wanna buy the 249Euro PSP Go?

Shall I cut to the chase and just call it a rip-off right off the bat?

lol These things always have hideous price tags to start off with.

""""Europe's new CEO, Andrew House, doesn't think the system is overpriced and believes the European market -- where the Go is priced at 249 Euros (that's nearly $350 in the U.S.) -- isn't as "price driven" as other markets"""

Thats cause we are suckers and will pay stupid prices to balance out the loses in America.....when will we learn......!!

What's with the 'we'. I won't buy Sony on principle. The principle being their stuff is kack.

Why not buy a US one?

Sony will sue the companies which import and sell foreign consoles. They forced Liksang (a Hong Kong based company) into shutting down becuase they were selling Asian PS3s (or maybe it was PSPs?) to Europeans before the release date. Sony won't let grey market imports happen in order to protect their profits ($100 extra in the case of the PSP Go).

PSP Go = total rip off imo. A pointless rehash of an existing console (like the DSi). Why not develop the next generation of handhelds?

Well, wasn't going to buy one anyhow, but I could just walked into Best Buy next time I'm in the US like I did to get my DSLite. I'm going this September so I'm putting off a few purchses until I'm in the US due to customs charges and just rip-off pricing like this.

All technology items start overpriced, this is actually normal. give it a year and it will be at a reasonable price

He must be the only person in Europe that thinks that. This thing is gonna flop big time at launch, at that price point
