Stopover hotel in mid-France

We're driving down to Spain in a few weeks and plan to make an overnight stop somewhere around Bourges in the Eastern Loire Valley, just off the E11.

Can anyone recommend any hotels/B&Bs which accommodate 2 adults/2 kids (preferably in one room) or perhaps contact details of tourist offices who would have more local information? I don't speak French though!

I always use for overnight stops to and from the UK

With the warm atmosphere and comfort of our new generation of hotels, our hotel is several minutes from the town centre and the Palais Jacques Coeur. It is immediately accessible via the A71, exit 7.

    Bon voyage

we used a campanile-4 bedded on the way to disney. It was really spotless and just off the motorway. I found it on the website bigboy mentions-the louvre one. If you put your area in and date it gives you all available with a room for 4. It was so easy even i managed it!

found it!! camapnile compiegne 35euros a night special offer on the louvre site bt this gives details if they are useful to you?…spx

as i said it was spotless and safe-kids loved it!

Thanks big-boy, the Premier Classe would be excellent value if they had family rooms but they allow a maximum of 3 so it means booking two rooms. :-(

Thanks as well louloo but all the Campanille's in the region I want to stay, have a maximum of 3 per room. :-(

I've looked, looked and looked but can't seem to find any budget hotels with family rooms. :-(

I saved info on this company I while back after somebody posted it on a page I had visited
I have never used them so if it looks good to you next question should be who knows what they are like…tml

Thanks louloo, none of the hotels listed are anywhere near Bourges. :-( I have managed to get a list of hotels in the area offering quads that I could phone from that site though ... let's hope they speak English!

If emailing is an option you could use babelfish (an online translator) to translate for you…-uk
might be of use now or in the future (utill you learn the lingo)

Thanks everyone, I managed to book a quad room at the ]Hotel Christina from the list I found on the Venere site. It wasn't the cheap option I was hoping for but time was getting a little too tight for my liking. :-D
