    storage boxes wanted

hi there, im looking for 3 plastic storage boxes with lids. they are to be kept outside, used for recycling paper, card and plastic bottles. decent size ones if poss, would like to only have to take them to the recycle place once a month if possible!

seen some in wilkos but at £7 each (£21 in total), i think its a bit muck, especially as they are only to be used for recycling.

we already have a black box from local council for tins/glass, but thats all they take and there is no lid neither. app they take paper but when it rains they leave it in the bottom of the box all wet and horrid!

im really enjoying recycling, we recently got a compost bin and always recycle our carrier bags. im just finding the lack of these boxes a nightmare as at the minute, we have 3 cardboard boxes on top of our fridge that look a mess, and need emptying once a week - nightmare!

please help me find 3 good size plastic boxes with lids!!!!!

    many thanks, clare xx

this is the £7 one. seems great, is there any wilkinsons discount codes avalible?

B&Q have storage boxes on discount at present, some excellent deals, worth a look at your local store. Be aware, that some stores are not showing reduced price on shelf, whilst others other.

thanks for that, also just found a 15% off wilko!

B&Q had some large ones yesterday, on wheels with lids reduced to £2 each. They are bigger than boxes off council.

Those wilkos ones are diabolical, they are weak and the plastic cracks very easily!

Bought some for the kids soft toys and before we'd even got them home 2 had cracked just from being moved about and carried.

Have a look on Tesco direct, I bought some a while ago, pack of 6 I think it was.

the cheese burger from the van outside was worth the drive! (esp with loads of chilli sauce on, mmmmmmmmmmmmm)!!!!

Saw an article in the Chronicle last week that the council (can't remember which one) was thinking of introducing wheelie bins for recycling. Apparently loads of folks are complaining of the nuisance caused in windy weather of the recycling bins blowing about the streets.

Only problem is that you would have a wheelie bin for rubbish, one for garden waste (only some parts of Newcastle) and one for recycling - so people in flats etc are going to struggle for space - then again they might arrange a really big bin to store the wheelie bins:giggle:
